• "The Mystic Astrologic Crystal Band" offers up an interesting mix of psych and what you'd call sunshine pop. I've seen a couple of reviews that compare the LP to The Yellow Balloon and the comparison' wasn't too far off, though Hoffman's affection for the sitar and Grass' production touches gave this a far more distinctive psych edge.

• The M.A.C. band was managed by Clancy Grass (husband of Albeth Paris of the Paris Sisters), who also managed our band, the Portraits. The M.A.C. Band, led by Steve Hoffman, was apparently going through personnel changes and they used 2 members of the Portraits on "Flowers Never Cry", bassist Phil Alagna and me, Gary Myers, on drums.
