• Mar 20,  · Just out of curiousity, can the content I'm burning have any bearing on my CD-R's skipping? I've noticed that one of the two CD-R's that I've burned seems to be fine while the oher has skipped consistantly on each copy that I've burned. Could the files have gotten corrupted wile I was ripping them into uncompressed WAV files?

• Bill does the sound at his church and when he uses burned CDs, they won't work with his players. Leo says that there's more than one way to burn a disc. He can burn a disc by dragging files onto a CD, and if he doesn't finalize them, they won't be usable. If it's a data disc, it may play on a computer, but not a CD player. It's not a perfect art.

• Jul 01,  · Chris, is it possible you just dragged and dropped the files onto the CD? If you don't aactually "finalize" or "burn" the files, they don't exist on the CD yet - windows just keeps them in a "to be burnt to cd" temporary directory, waiting for you to finsih your actions and tell it to go with what is has.
